Phil McEwan operates a Unia Ares XL 6 metre Trailing Discs and a Unia 3 metre Cross on his cropping farm. He has moved to a shallow tillage operation to avoid soil movement on his hilly farm.
The Unia Cross with wings on helps incorporate the straw but also changes to factory narrow points for deep ripping to remove soil compaction (no wings on).
The Unia Discs are also equipped with a Unia Seeder which is used for likes of sowing Kale with only the one pass after harvest.
